MKEC is seeking an HVAC and Plumbing Engineer for our Architectural Engineering group located in our Wichita, KS office. Engineering projects may include schools, churches, hospitals, hotels, office buildings and other commercial or industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Production of coordinated detail design drawings, electronic models, specifications, written reports, site observation reports, etc.
  • Work alongside experienced engineers to produce design and layout of varied HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Willing to work on multiple projects including HVAC load calculations, ductwork design, hydronic systems design, plumbing systems, and utility coordination.
  • Ability to understand and research industry standards and building codes.

Requirements:

  • Architectural Engineering degree is preferred. Mechanical Engineering degree will be considered.
  • Passed FE exam or willingness to successfully sit for the exam.
  • Interest in HVAC and Plumbing design systems and concepts.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasks. Good presentation and written communication skills, time management, and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, be self-directed.
  • Experienced in AutoCAD MEP. AUTODESK Revit preferred.
  • Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Compliance with MKEC and client drug/alcohol and safety programs.
