Kansas Bridge Section Leader at our Wichita or Overland Park locations to lead our Kansas bridge team on KDOT, KTA, county and municipal transportation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and continue to build our Kansas bridge department.
- Project management and oversight of bridge projects from initial scoping to final design plans.
- Prepare and assist with project proposals, interviews and presentations to clients.
- Proficient in bridge design.
- Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to staff members.
- Point of contact for clients to ensure design meets their needs and objectives.
- Develop and maintain client relations.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation projects involving DOT, turnpike, county and municipal work.
- Proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Knowledge of or experience with software such as MDX, LEAP Bridge, OpenBridge Designer, BRASS-CULVERT, LARSA and BAR7
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Highly organized, self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects at once. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and time management skills are required.
- Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines, exhibit good business judgement and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- PE license in Kansas and/or Oklahoma is preferred (or the ability to obtain said license in a timely manner).
- Knowledge of local standards and requirements is preferred.
